Alchemist 1/3

The Alchemist is a book about a young man named Santiago that wanted to explore the world and see new places so he becomes a shepherd because this is the only way he could afford to travel. Santiago keeps having the same dream about treasure in the Pyramids of Egypt. Santiago goes to a dream reader and she confirms that it could mean something and does not charge him because she says if he finds the treasure she wants 10 percent of it. The boy continues on, trades his sheep, and finally gets to Africa. Once there he goes into a crystal shop and he ask if he could clean the man’s crystals in exchange for food. The man gives him food free but he still ask for a job. Santiago begins to work for him and offer great ideas. Our opinion of the text so far is that it is very interesting. The author whose name is Paulo Coelho does a great job at keeping the reader interested. The author makes you want to keep reading and he keeps your mind wandering throughout the story.
