The Swastika was used up to 5,000 years before the Germanys ever adopted it. It truley means "good fortune" and "well being". The motif which is a hooked cross was the first time that the Germans ever adapted the swastika. Before that the meaning of the swastila was good fortune. So no the Germany did not make up the swastika or even give its name they adopted it and turned it into a sign of death and war and evil.

I think its wrong to take something so good, and turn it to something so bad and evil.
ReplyDeleteWow, you would never think that the Swastika would mean something like that. The Nazi's really misused that symbol.
ReplyDeleteIn taking the Swastika did they believe that it would bring them good fortune? Its kind of sad that so many things that many good in so many cultures can be changed just a light little bit and made evil.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why the NAZI party decided to use that symbol and how they even knew about it?
ReplyDeleteI never thought that the Swastika ment something good, Hitler really made people think that the Swastika ment evil
ReplyDeleteI didnt know it was a symbol of good fortune, the nazis ruiend it.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how the people who used the sign for good felt about Hitler adopting it.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me wonder why and how they took one symbol meaning some of good and makes people believe and have hope, then they turn it and transform it into something that makes people feel fear and something bad.
